Islamabad: In a significant move to promote educational ties, leading universities in South Korea have announced a range of fully-funded and partial scholarships for Pakistani students across various academic disciplines.
These scholarships are part of the Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) and individual university initiatives aimed at attracting international talent, particularly from South Asia. Students from Pakistan can now apply for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in prestigious Korean institutions offering degrees in engineering, IT, business, social sciences, and health sciences.
The initiative is expected to open doors for Pakistani students to gain access to world-class education, advanced research facilities, and global exposure in a highly developed academic environment.
According to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, students interested in applying should check eligibility criteria and deadlines through official university websites or the HEC portal. Most of the programs cover tuition fees, living expenses, airfare, and health insurance.
Education experts have welcomed the development, calling it a valuable opportunity for Pakistani youth to compete globally and bring international expertise back home. With strong diplomatic ties and growing cooperation in science and technology, Korea is fast becoming a preferred destination for Pakistani scholars.
