Karachi: A Saudi Arabian flight bound for Jeddah was forced to make an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport after an engine warning light illuminated shortly after takeoff.
According to airport sources, the aircraft had only recently departed when the alert appeared, prompting the captain to immediately contact Air Traffic Control (ATC). In response, emergency procedures were swiftly put in place, and the flight was cleared to land safely on Runway 25-L.
Following touchdown, all passengers were safely disembarked, and the airline’s engineering team began a detailed inspection of the aircraft. Initial checks reportedly did not reveal any visible engine faults, offering reassurance to passengers and aviation authorities.
