Punjab is on high alert as devastating rainfall continues to claim lives, with 71 deaths reported in the last 48 hours alone. According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the total number of rain-related fatalities has now reached 123 since June 25.
Over 460 people have been injured as unprecedented rainfall triggered widespread urban flooding throughout the province. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued fresh warnings of more heavy downpours beginning July 20, raising fears of further destruction and casualties.
