Islamabad: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially begun early registration for Hajj 2026, inviting both local and overseas Pakistanis to express their interest in performing the sacred pilgrimage. The deadline for this initial registration is July 9, 2025.
This early step is mandatory for anyone wishing to apply under either the government-organized or private Hajj schemes. Ministry officials clarified that no payment is required at this stage; the process is purely for collecting data on the number of potential pilgrims.
Registrations can be completed by visiting any of the 15 authorized banks across Pakistan. Overseas Pakistanis have the option to register through official online portals or embassy channels set up specifically for this purpose. It’s important to note that this is not a guarantee of a Hajj seat—it simply makes applicants eligible for the next stage of the selection process.
A ministry spokesperson explained that this advance registration is being conducted to help Saudi authorities determine the official Hajj quota allocated to Pakistan. The number of people who register now will directly influence how many Pakistani pilgrims can travel next year.
The government is urging all interested individuals to complete their registration promptly to avoid missing out, especially if the quota fills quickly. Early registration ensures that prospective pilgrims have the best chance to move forward in the official selection process for Hajj 2026.
