Karachi: Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) has announced a sharp increase in prices for several KIA models, with the revised rates taking effect from July 1, 2025. The price hikes range between Rs. 95,000 and Rs. 700,000, affecting some of the brand’s most popular vehicles.
The price adjustment impacts a range of models including the KIA Picanto, Stonic, Sportage, Sorento, and Carnival, all of which are widely sold in Pakistan. According to LMC, the new pricing structure will apply to all orders invoiced from July 1 onwards.
However, the prices for KIA’s electric vehicle (EV) lineup, including the EV5 and EV9, remain unchanged, offering a bit of relief for customers exploring greener alternatives.
Industry analysts suggest the hike may be driven by a mix of currency fluctuations, increased import duties, and rising production costs, all of which have put pressure on automakers to adjust their pricing strategies.
The announcement has sparked concerns among prospective buyers, especially those who had planned to book vehicles before the price revision. Dealers are now witnessing a rush of last-minute bookings as customers try to avoid the new rates.
KIA remains one of the leading automakers in Pakistan, and this latest development may influence market competition, particularly as other manufacturers consider similar revisions in response to economic conditions.
