Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, has been invited to the United States to attend the historic 250th Army Day celebrations in Washington, D.C. Scheduled to arrive on June 12, he will join top military leaders from around the world to commemorate this significant milestone in U.S. military history.
The week-long celebration will feature a range of events, including a Revolutionary War exhibit, military band performances, an Army birthday run, and festivities in collaboration with the Washington Nationals baseball team.
The grand finale on June 14 will include a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, a public festival on the National Mall, a ceremonial Army parade, military flyovers, fireworks, and enlistment ceremonies. General Munir’s participation is seen as a step forward in strengthening military cooperation between Pakistan and the United States.
